Without doubt, the jazz festival audience will experience more unique improvised music stories as Daniel Čačija appears together with Klaipeda State Music Theatre Symphonic Orchestra presenting their outstanding interpretive joint performance.
Internationally renowned musician started professional music lessons in Frankfurt at just six years of age. Later he received his degree as a classical pianist from the conservatoire.
One of the finest jazz vocalists of his generation, Daniel Čačija has already received numerous prestigious awards which include the Best Male Jazz Baritone in Austria (2011), the US Downbeat Student Music Award 2013 winner in the category ‘Vocal Jazz Soloist’ and the Croatian Music Award “Porin” in the category “Jazz Album of the Year” (2014). In 2016 he was nominated as the Best Singer at “Echo Jazz“.
On a duet with the equally genuine composer, bassist and conductor Pavel Klimashevsky they will appear in Klaipeda Cruise Ship Terminal on stage of 23rd Klaipeda Castle Jazz Festival this June. With hit summerly and love songs from Gershwin, Antonio Carlos Jobim and many more they will entertain the jazz festival goers together with Klaipeda State Music Theatre Symphonic Orchestra bringing their outstanding interpretive performance “Songs of Summer and Love”.
