Chiefs Band - a sunny, energetic, crazy, talented and very positive jazz band from Belarus will definitely make the huge crowds of 23rd Klaipeda Castle Jazz Festival fans move.
“The distinctive sound, original vocals, positive and good energy, the good sense of humor, that’s all you need to stir you move almost without thinking. Chiefs Band charisma is sure to grab your heart, mind and soul. Chiefs Band is capable of instantly brightening up and elevating the soul of over exhausted body. These are the musicians that help all good people recover the immunity and treat a cold,” says Inga Grubliauskienė, the president of Klaipeda Castle Jazz Festival.
Unique and incredible band calls themselves a jazz family. In 2005 the band was founded by the present group leader, a bass guitarist Ales-Francisak Myškevič. At present the band consists of vocalists Jurij Selezniov and Ekaterina Chudinec, percussionist Pavel Mamonov, guitarist Pavel Tripuc, saxophonist Andrej Barylo, trumpet player Andrej Jakubčik and trombone player Roman Jazukevič.
And when on stage, an 8-piece group from Belarus immediately captures everyone and leaves the audience breathless. That’s why they often joke and call themselves “Belarus jazz pirates”.
